New to ALS? This training is designed to help you make sense of what comes next. We’ll break down common terms and acronyms, introduce Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and how it can support your independence, and highlight the range of tools and assistive technologies available, from simple to advanced. You’ll learn what changes in communication may look like, what milestones might signal it’s time to adjust your tools, and how to plan ahead with confidence. This session is designed for those newly diagnosed with ALS and their support networks, but all are welcome. We’ll provide guidance and real-world insights to help you stay informed and connected from day one.
